We deliver bespoke one-stop inspection and certification services to ensure that our clients are fully compliant with all current legislation.

LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSTEMS
Lightning Protection Systems (LPS) must be inspected and tested annually to ensure that the building is protected from the potentially catastrophic effect of a lightning strike and to ensure compliance under IEC/BS EN 62305:2011 parts 1-4 and BS EN 6651 for older systems.
Our qualified engineers and technicians inspect and test the complete system for integrity, continuity, and resistivity to Earth.

EYE BOLT AND ROPE ACCESS ANCHOR POINTS
A thorough inspection and testing of anchor bolts and safety eye bolts is a critical requirement to ensure compliance with current legislation and industry recognised standards. Eye bolts should be examined against the BS 7883:2005 standard at intervals not exceeding 12 months whilst Class A1 anchor bolts must be tested in accordance with BS EN795 and regulation 9 of the Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998 with a frequency not exceeding 6 months.
Bolts that have not been tested within a 12 month period must not be used and tagged DO NOT USE.
GUARD RAILS
Guard rails and handrails installed to BS EN 13374 provide collective edge protection for safely working at height. They are an ideal working at height solution in situations where regular access for maintenance is required. It is recommended that guardrails and handrails are inspected at least every 12 months. Due to their generally exposed position, weather conditions can have a serious impact on their stability and integrity making it vitally important for them to be inspected regularly.
SAFETY LINES
Work at Height fall arrest systems should be inspected to the BS EN 795:2012 standard every 12 months and more frequently in very exposed areas or areas of high usage.
The surrounding roof must also be maintained correctly to avoid vegetation growth interfering with the use of the system.
Membrane roofs that have not been maintained correctly and have a build-up of algae can cause serious slip, trip, and fall hazards. We can combine inspection and cleaning as part of our one-stop service.
SAFE ROOF WALKWAYS
Roof walkways offer a straightforward means of crossing a roof if maintained correctly. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998 requires (among others) that employers and duty holders ensure that all work equipment is suitable for the intended use and correctly inspected and maintained.
It is recommended that roof walkways are inspected annually to avoid any slip, trip, and fall potential.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) AND FALL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
Regulation 7 of the PPE Regulations 1992 states that:
- Every employer shall ensure that any personal protective equipment provided to his employees is maintained (including replaced or cleaned as appropriate) in an efficient state, in efficient working order, and in good repair.
We provide an inspection and re-certification service for all PPE to ensure that items are fit for purpose and to maintain compliance. Clients often request their Working at Height PPE is inspected at the same time as their WAH systems in order to simplify logistics.
Our experienced and qualified PPE inspectors can assist you in preparing a PPE inspection database and advise on the most suitable PPE for situation.
